TAZWAQT
BAHTH بحث is the research division of Morocconia. Its first project, BAHTH ٠٠١, is the Tazwaqt skate decks: a first attempt at a product that embodies the spirit of Morocconia.
Ceiling art, on a skate deck
Tazwaqt, or zouaq, is Moroccan painted ornament, on wood and on plaster. It covers the ceilings, doors and shutters of the old medinas, and the furniture and everyday objects of palaces and old houses.
BAHTH, the experimental line of Morocconia, takes that brushwork somewhere new. Every scroll, petal and star on these decks is painted by hand.

Patterns too big for one deck
Diptych and triptych are painted as one composition, then split across decks. Hang them side by side and the vine or the star runs straight through.
Brushwork
Studio photographs of each deck. The ground coat, the outlines and the fine dots are all laid down by hand.
Custom and B2B orders
Every deck is painted to order. Pick a model, or ask for a colourway of your own.
Shops, hotels and galleries can order single decks, diptychs and triptychs for their spaces. Get in touch with Morocconia.
The enquiry opens a direct message to @morocconia. Your deck choice is copied so you can paste it in.
